One might not recognize the title of my blog. I can't say as I would either, coming across it in a search of the vastness of the internet. Many people simply put up a quick one or two word phrase that catches their fancy in the heat of the moment of creating their blog, and fail to put a lot of thought into their chioce. I've tried several times to start a blog, and to come up with an appropriate title, but until now haven't been able to come up with a title that fits. Until now, and with a little prodding from a longtime friend.
I chose the phrase that I did for several reasons. I come from a very rich Irish background, so I did a search for Irish phrases that might capture my current mood. The title is a Gaelic phrase, meaning 'Beware the anger of a patient man'. I like to think of myself as very patient man and able to cope well with stress, anger and all of those other lovely negative emotions that we've been blessed with being human. However, I've come to a point of the journey that is my life and I find myself angry.
Why you might ask? That is a very complicated answer, and one which I will be exploring as we go along. Suffice it to say, this won't be a short and easy blog for those who enjoy light hearted rantings about trips to the local 7-11, pets or rainbows. No, this will be the place to come to see what has made me angry today. Or rather WHO has made me angry. Most of the time, it will be one person. The one person who used to control my life, and now shouldn't but still does, and it's nobody's fault but my own. Perhaps in this blog, I'll find the outlet I've needed to regain control, and to find the path to go forward, to move on from where I am today, and to become the patient man again, but without the anger...
If I haven't scared you off yet, then check back and see what you might find in this blog. Perhaps in ridding my own anger I can help others do the same. We'll all be the better for it.
Until the next posting.....
